In September 2010, the Belvoir Wassailers – the Belvoir Castle's own male voice choir – was reformed at the request of the Duchess. Directed by Robert-John Edwards, the Belvoir Wassailers performed at the castle's annual "Belvoir by Candlelight" celebration in December 2010. The choir is currently working on a variety of new material, including popular, folk, seasonal and commemorative music.
Elaine Bishop is a singer, singing teacher and musical director based in Grantham. A familiar face on the local music scene, she has been a regular soloist with several societies and co-founded the Grantham Youth Theatre Society in 2008.

Elaine first began directing music at secondary school and majored in Ensemble Performance as part of her Music and English degree at Hull University. After leaving university and returning to Grantham, Elaine was offered a position as the Musical Director for The Grantham Singers with whom she enters her 10th year as MD this season. Elaine is also currently employed as a Vocal Coach and Musical Director for the Lincolnshire Star Academy.

However, alongside her teaching and directing commitments, Elaine is also in demand as a mezzo-soprano both in and beyond the local area. She has built up a reputation as an accomplished performer with various UK and international companies at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival and was nominated 'Best Character Actress' in 2011 for her role of Cousin Hebe in HMS Pinafore.

Elaine has also performed with professional opera companies, recent credits including HMS Pinafore (Raymond Gubbay Productions), Trial by Jury (Opera Minima) and Utopia (G&S Opera Company). She has performed in prestigious national and international venues including the Royal Albert Hall, The Barbican and St Pauls Cathedral (London), Bridgewater Hall (Manchester), Symphony Hall (Birmingham), Usher Hall (Edinburgh) and Cologne Cathedral (Germany).
